If you claim your stuff properly and know what you're doing you can keep your stuff safe/hidden/otherwise.
Plus if he's actually able to reach your chests with TNT you're doing something wrong anyway.

even if i did hide my stuff, i don't like having to build separate buildings, tnt proof buildings to put my chests when i could keep them in my living space and not worry about someone walking in and taking stuff. i'd also like to not worry about someone stealing all my building supplies when i move them to build a wall or something.

that's the objective to you, my objective is to enjoy the experience. you also apparently don't know the meaning os siege. siege involves actual strategy and planning, as well as endurance and resource management. what you do is just "HUR DUR BOOM BOOM FIREBALLS!" while the entire opposing force is offline, not sieging. basically you just enjoy breaking stuff and you're too dumb to aim a tnt cannon at chests, so you want to be able to just shoot the broad side of a wall and get loot.

Can anyone explain these small lag spikes occur? They are extremely inconvenient.. One thing that bugs me is the fact that they seem to repeat every second or so. that tells me that it's a process from the game.

Get optifine and see if it helps that
