also, more on the topic of this, isn't there a little line somewhere in the constitution/bill of rights that says we can replace the government if they start trying to pass unconstitutional bills like limiting our freedom of speech and privacy, etc?
Yeah, piracy is protected by free speech.
this..whatthis bill has nothing to do with piracydid you even read it?
this billhas nothing to doabout piracy.it's privacy we're talking about here, not piracy.
I said privacy in my last post boyo.
the "on other people's property" part makes it sound like you were talking about privacy over piracy.wait i'm confused now
we're simply saying the government shouldn't have the right to snoop in there. i hardly think anyone cares about the company because they can't really do much with it.
The company can already legally give it to the government (Most EULAs give them ownership of information you give them). Also, who cares if the government can tell if you are emailing about blowing up the White House? It's not like they are going to intercept letters you send to your mom.
i like how some of you are shocked by this.the president himself announced that the senater who wrote the first one was going to write this one. and this was announced the very day they dropped sopa.they all want this, it will happen somehow.
