So about the shadows and shaders. How about, if we keep both interiors and terrain? Maybe there should be away to turn of shadows and shaders; like the demo you can't load the bricks since it said not available in demo so what if we have a feature like this? When shadows and shaders are enabled maps like the bedroom and slopes would say not available with shaders but if you turn it off, you could still play. Would this be possible?

Although I see what your trying to say, I dont think the game engine can run with the coding from terrain and shaders/shadows....that doesnt make any sense but maybe thats similar to how it works. Just play the game with the update, bricks will be 90% faster, and there will be more future updates than ever

We can only have one or the other.
Terrain mucks up tons of code, and we can't had shadows with terrain. Turning it off won't do stuff either, because Shadows need that terrain code is gone, so turning off shadows would just turn of shadows, it wouldn't magically make terrain code re-appear.

we CAN have shadows with terrain. it's totally 100% possible. it's just that it would take time. best scrap terrain code and re-write it.

It's possible if you think a FPS decrease of around 70% is probable.

it is possible to code brick shadows to work with terrain without making you computer run at 1fps. except to do this they would probably have to rewrite the whole terrain system to make it work with their new lighting system. the reason that interiors and terrain have to go is because they don't tie in with the coding for bricks.

I hope they would be able to release Ambient Occlusions, if that isn't too much for the lame engine.

why would you want terrains/interiors to come back anyway, they were very old and outdated plus had the equivalent graphics capabilities of a nintendo 64 game

not to mention they account for 2/3 of the lag experienced with bricks, like kompressor said.

but if they can be rewritten to have better quality and to work well with bricks, then i'm all for it in the future.
