Nooooooooooo. It's not an RPG... Money would serve absolutely NO purpose but kindling in the apocalypse... It makes absolutely no sense and it would make certain people feel superior for no reason.

Also... The NRL (new life rule) is in the rules isn't it? Maybe I'm mistaken... If so, it should probably be used more, but all deaths should be RPed. If you kill someone don't actually kill them. You never have to hit them more than once... Unless you're being dramatic, but if so, don't hit them every time... Point is, don't actually kill anyone, but if you're killed in the RP, the NRL should probably be enforced more...
