Plus I think "Respect is earned" is a very important concept, so it's not completely stuffposting.
Really? Because in that context you were stuff posting, going back and saying "well it's an important concept" doesn't cut it. That's just you backpedaling and trying to make yourself look good.
There are different types of admins. I never said what you had to be, I just said you can choose what type to be.
No, you definitely told us what we had to be. That's like saying "You can be a Doctor or a Lawyer when you grow up and nothing else" and calling that not telling someone what to do. You are telling someone what to do. You're just giving them extremely limited options that doesn't make it any less power-hungry looking, in this context anyway.
There's a big difference between being roostery/feeling superior and trying to help.
This is the part that really gets me.
Trying to help? Are you serious?
Clearly you don't. You shouldn't even start it.
Just because you're an admin doesn't mean these rules don't apply to you. If anything you need to follow them closer than the rest of us.
Don't get roostery.
It's hard to look at this as "trying to help" when the post is literally you getting hotheaded at someone and demanding that they follow rules and that they should keep their head down because they're an all powerful and consequence-immune Admin.
