What is this maximum possesion limit, and why are we forced to vote for it if we want it to be legalized?

What is this maximum possesion limit, and why are we forced to vote for it if we want it to be legalized?
A. It's a limit on how much you can have.
B. You aren't forced at all.

Legalize cannabis with similar restrictions and taxes to tobacco.
Make sure driving while stoned is illegal.
Profit.

I like how you say it improves your ability without any explanation of how.
So you've never got in an accident except that time you got in an accident.

Well, I live in the middle of downtown Chicago. Driving here is complete and total hell, and is incredibly stressful. Driving high prevents me from getting out of my car and punching the person in the car in front of me. Not to mention the fact that it makes the drive seem like it's 1/4th of the length.

Potheads seem to follow this belief for some reason, it's probably just a side effect of the addiction they get with smoking Marijuana.
If they're addicted to it, their brains probably think it's a good thing for the body to get.

Your 1950's propaganda knowledge is ridiculous. There's literally 0 addictive properties to marijuana. Saying someone is addicted to smoking pot is like saying someone is addicted to the computer. It's not they they're literally addicted, it's just that they don't want to stop. I smoked daily for 4 years straight and then went completely cold turkey because of personal reasons. Trust me, if there's anyone who can tell you that there's no such thing as a chemical addiction to marijuana, it's me.

Actually, since you'll probably say it's a half-baked theory, go watch this movie and tell me how much you hate marijuana some more. Just because you don't advocate it's use, doesn't mean it's bad.

The Union: The Business Behind Getting High.

That movie gives you tons of statistics, medical facts, examples, and much more. If you still think that marijuana is bad after watching that, then well, I'll be appalled.

I say things in little tidbits and that's why people probably think I'm dumb for saying things. I think it should be totally legalized and with no restrictions, like I said earlier. If he gets in a car baked, he is accepting the risk that he is going to get into an accident, whatever size that risk is. If he does get into an accident, he is fully responsible for his own actions, and cannot be shielded by a claim of "Chemical Imbalance" or whatever. He would have to pay full price for what has happened and anyone he has hurt. The government shouldn't make laws to baby people and shield them from their own decisions. Driving baked is a risk, just like everything else and should not be restricted just to "keep people safe" or something.

Also, Multiple studies showed that no one died a marijuana related death last year, there are plenty of riskier things. hell, bathtubs kill an average of 320 people a year, that's plenty more dangerous.

Risk Assessment people.

Edit: stuff, I just realized that I voted for "Totally Illegal". I need to read better.

Smoke trees, not bathtubs.

It's not 1950's propaganda knowledge, it's just common sense, your body, brain and  lungs weren't made to be bombarded with smoke and chemicals, I bet you're going to tell me that people who smoke marijuana score higher in IQ tests and have longer lifespans, most of the potheads I've seen usually waste their life away.

Guess who's fault it is for "Smoking their life away"? It's their own, make them face that consequence, instead of banning it.

Sure, smoke entering your lungs isn't good for you. But neither is inhaling smog filled oxygen or many of the other chemicals in our air. You seem to be unaware that you can vaporize marijuana and consume it via edibles. And sure, a lot of incredibly intelligent people use marijuana, and do in fact score higher on their tests because they can focus. Look at me, I almost flunked out of school until I started smoking pot and actually did my work. Graduated a year early. And forget longer lifespans. I don't want to live to be 120 and a vegetable. I'd rather die at 60 and live it to the fullest. And yeah, a lot of stoners do waste away, but that's not because of what they're smoking, it's because they lack self-control and the ability to smoke weed, and not let it smoke them.

Same thing with alcohol, there a guys who have a beer or two at supper then there are alcoholics. Same exact thing with marijuana

It seems there are people going too extreme with their argument on both sides.

Driving while high SHOULD be illegal. The fact that it gives you tunnel vision alone, (according to beachbum) even if only sometimes, is reason enough to ban it while driving. However it has no studied addictive properties, and is healthier than alcohol/tobacco. I can tell Aphontites has bad experience in the past with potheads though, I think I read a post about kids at his school being lazy and stuff. THEY'RE KIDS. They're going to adhere to stereotypes, even if they don't notice it. (e.g kid takes his first toke, proclaims he is high as forget, when in reality he knows nothing about marijuana)

Sometimes when people think marijuana should be legalized, they take their side too far. It shouldn't be legal while driving, nor should minors use it. Marijuana is not a miracle drug, it is for recreational purposes only.

"Marijuana is addictive" is such complete bullstuff. I'm living proof along with most others in this thread.

I've smoked since the beginning of eight grade almost every weekend and I am currently a sophomore in Highschool now. I've completely stopped smoking weed this year of 2012 and had no urge at ALL to smoke weed from January to present and I have no "withdrawal" symptoms.

My only motives? It's fun and makes things a hell of a lot more enjoyable. That is why I will be high at Excision's concert on 4/20 and then begin not smoking again to get a job. Will that be hard? Hahaha no not at all.

That's nice to hear, but some people are more prone to addiction than others. Say if alcoholism runs in your family, you are especially more prone because you a predisposed to it. Likewise, things in your environment can change your addiction susceptibility, like you don't get the proper nutrition in the womb or some sort of traumatic event. It's different for everyone.
