I understand Acid, but internet petitions have never done anything ever. Even if they got 12 billion signatures.

I don't really think it's the practice, it's the principal. If EA can get away with using their users to sign a petition, they may potentially gain power akin to that of anonymous.

Or maybe I'm just full of stuff... idk

it's not about signing petitions
it's about using your account without your permission
how would you like it if Badspot added 35486 signatures to a pro-gay petition because "all of the users support it?"
