Author Topic: EA using Origin accounts to sign petitions without the user's consent?  (Read 3664 times)

I am going to assume this is real because I don't see EA above doing this.

what the hell thats so messed up
who signs pro-gay petitions seriously

Speaking of gay petition, there is a silent day at my school tomorrow for those who support gays or something. It's to prevent gay bullying. You don't talk all day!

Never works, my biloveual friend was bullied a lot that day.

you guys are acting like it's the end of the world i mean really it's just a petition

I'd be pretty pissed off if someone signed a petition in my name without my consent.

I understand Acid, but internet petitions have never done anything ever. Even if they got 12 billion signatures.

REALLY dude?

Lots of people seem to think they work.
You missed the point.

Now this is worth monitoring as the event progresses... This sounds really cool to watch and yet it's astoundingly disturbing at the same time.  What petition does it link to?

You missed the point.
That EA is using your account to sign petitions? It doesn't matter because they never work.

I don't really think it's the practice, it's the principal. If EA can get away with using their users to sign a petition, they may potentially gain power akin to that of anonymous.

Or maybe I'm just full of stuff... idk

are you stupid
it's not about signing petitions
it's about using your account without your permission
how would you like it if Badspot added 35486 signatures to a pro-gay petition because "all of the users support it?"
