Author Topic: GIF prints.  (Read 1457 times)

We have had suggestions on the forums asking someone to create the ability to print movies on to bricks and watch movies like that.  I'm just asking someone to make four GIFs with four prints in each GIF.  This way, we can create TVs that work but not a lot of datablocks to be used for prints.

And make them using Blockland with Blocklanders, not a video of real people from youtube.

it's impossible to make, been stated lots of times dude

it simply isn't possible to be compatible with the game's engine

Did you even read the content of the OP

All i am requesting is four sequential prints that form a repeating pattern of movement that creates the illusion of a movie/tv show on a brick.  I'm not asking for a movie projector on the brick, just four prints for every GIF print.

1. The engine does not support GIF images, only JPG and PNG.

2. Hrm, Illusion?

3. Its possible, I saw it on a server. It was a short repeating animation of a show called "Spaceballs". Just throwing that out there.

even if it is possible, do you know how many images per second it would take to make it look like it was actually moving? i'd guess way too much for our computers to handle probably, with tons of prints changing constantly every second

plus if you'd want a screen larger than a small 4x4, the number of prints changing per second would increase exponentially

Isn't Spaceballs a TV show?

Again, I'm not asking for enough prints to make a good quality movie, I just want four or six prints that when put together with setprint events, they make a short, looping show.  Think of it like a bird.  One print has its wings at a horizontal angle.  The next print has them up 10 degrees, the next print has them at 17 degrees, then the 10 degree one again, then horizontal again, then a new print at -10 degrees, and another at -17 degrees, then -10 degrees, and then it loops back in.  So that's what, five prints?

Lots of topics have been made about this, and I think someone posted a animated face at one point so yes, I would guess its possible.

Yup, the Wink mod.  Which is exactly what I am asking for here, only with prints instead of faces.

Yes, I did that. But considering how it works, I won't release it. It's one of those codes that is easy to screw up, and that isn't something to give out. People actually spammed tons of them before it started to lag.

Spaceballs is a classic movie. Then, a few years, Mel Brooks sold out to G4 to have a weird animated series made out of it. I tried to watch it once or twice, but it was absolutely zero like Spaceballs other than the branding. Point being, don't you ever refer to that show first again, please.

Takes about 5 seconds to download the prints too.
