You can just use arma 2 free, it will come with horribly compressed textures, but it's still alright.

you only need some controls
always use direct chat
you start with no weapons, look for guns or hatchets inside buildings

Is there a favorite BL server? I see tons in the SixLauncher.

Only join US servers, only join servers with less than 40 players, only join servers with a ping of under 100, only join servers where the host has a legitimate name and not some garbage like ILOVETEXAS.

I can't figure out how to do anything. I saw some handsome gentlemen crawling around in black tuxedos, so I avoided them, and tried to climb up a ladder to a big water tower thing. Couldn't figure out how to climb, looked around, saw the tuxedo men were crawling closer to me, so I ran away.

Clicked the respawn button out of curiosity, couldn't figure out how to be not-dead, restarted game.

Rejoined. Heard an engine. Knew it was a vehicle. Looked around, saw a vehicle. Was 6 men on a speed boat.

Don't ever think of saying friendly/asking nicely. Dayz has turned into which everyone you see must be killed. If you see something like that and no weapon, run. You have a weapon, a good one, shoot the hell outta em

If I'm spotted by more people then me I won't fight unless they shoot first, because it'd be a bad situation for me.

If its a group of two, I'll take them out on sight, if it's like a group of 5, I'd rather hide unless I'm a sniper and I'm really good and can snipe them all.


Really just shoot or hide, only two options. You can never make friendships with the strangers.
