Meh.  Stalker is my favorite series.

Edit: Day Z is (somewhat) good with realism, but STALKER has much more variety.

STALKER has a story and its x10 better to play in the dark because there are different enemies. DayZ just has zombies and bandits. But both are scary in there own way.

friend died, got swarmed, tried to help, i died, end of story.

we managed to respawn and meet up in elektrozavodsk, found around 4 dead bodies there, alice pack x2, hospital loot. traveled northwest, got to mogilevka and got a cz 550, got attacked by at least 60 zombies, fought them and ran. made it to stary sobor, looted half the camp when we heard shots. i went up on the hill with trees and found the culprit in a field, bleeding and being chased by 1 zombie. shot him twice with the cz and the zombie took him down (no murder). looted, got some steaks, got outside of kabanino, and now we are going to go to the nw airfield; hopefully this time my friend wont pull a crowd of zombies into the barracks.

But DayZ can. One is a horribly designed shooter where you run around looting things and killing people, and one is a ehh quality mod for a great shooter where you run around looting things and killing people.
