in general, it has a good plot and it's not really hard at all to understand why James would do what he does, so it's easy to get on his side (for me anyway)
(based on Xbox:) shields are no longer a separate power, instead you press RB to use them, and the armor power no longer exists
you can set two powers to use at one time, one for Y and one for X; pressing one will use their respective power
the powers are whipfist, hammerfists, blade, claws, and tendrils (which replaces musclemass)
instead of the detection powers (infected vision and its counterpart), you have the ability to "hunt," which is basically sonar for finding your current mission target
you get upgrades by either leveling up or finding collectibles
