Oh.. I don't know why but it looked like a huge concrete brick to me (Around 1m in lenght).

AKA I didn't think it's one of the small bricks.
it isn't small I guess, like over a foot, but yeah smaller then you thought I guess d:

I took this photo with a shoe box.

Hey does anyone here protect their images in anyway such as watermarks, and copyrights? I've been being curious about this because I just got my first money offer for an event. I declined the money because I don't think my work is worth money yet, but I don't want people to use these pictures when they have no right to.

Bottom right corner - put your name

Problem solved

Then if they use it, I have the right to make them quit?

You don't have the right to make them quit

You have the right to charge them with royalties if they use your property without permission

You have the right to make them quit no matter what, but a watermark makes it easier. Just remember to put a copyright symbol in front of your name to make sure they know it's copyrighted (even without a watermark at all it's still protected, but most people think something has to have a symbol to be protected). And if they do steal them they'll have your name on them so you get credit.

Where are you uploading the images and how high resolution? If they decided to use them, what would they be using them for?

And yeah he could just send them a bill for it, but that's a pretty douche thing to do if he just said he wouldn't take payment from them.

It was very immature and unprofessional of you to change the name to research Megathread, Tetris. I am extremely disappointed, I thought you might be better than that. You proved me wrong, I guess.

Misread the title as Photography Megathread.
wait a second.

Watermarks won't protect your image. Copyright will. Watermarks will only ruin your composition and immersion.

yeah, watermarks are douchey and un-needed. even your name in the corner is bad.

anything you create is automatically your property and not available for use by others, stamping your name on it won't change that. if someone uses it, THEN deal with it. rather than ruining your work to begin with.

I saw "research megathread"

thought: isn't that against the rules

Why is the title now research megathread?
