Author Topic: iPod has been stolen, what do I do?-UPDATE: I GOT IT BACK BOYEEEEE!-  (Read 2565 times)

My iPod has been stolen. Here's the story;
I was in gym class, 5th hour. I took my iPod out of my pocket to remove the headphones and put on my gym shorts. I got distracted for a second by one of my friends and I realize two minutes later that it's gone. I don't have "Find My iPod" on it or any kind of recovering service. All I have it my apple account that's linked to the iPod and the nickname, not even the Serial of the iPod. Is there any way to get my iPod back? Any kind of help is appreciated, thanks for listening.

why would anyone want to steal an iPod
can't think of a way to get it back
try contacting apple on what to do or something?

Wow man, same god damn thing happened to me.

Anyways, you're screwed. Who ever stole it probably sold it.

why would anyone want to steal an iPod
Why wouldn't they?

why would anyone want to steal an iPod
I don't know. Maybe they thought it was an iPhone because I have a really thick OtterBox on it.

Find it. Hunt down everyone in your gym class that could have done it and interrogate them.

Or call the cops.

One someone stole my headphones and gave them away.
So I stole his new ones. In other words I kinda did steal them back.

only thing I can say is go to https://www.icloud.com/

sign in and select "Find my iPod"

You don't need to app on your ipod for this.

you could have avoided the entire situation by not taking it to school, and paying attention in class instead

You're royally screwed, there's about a 0.000042% chance of getting it back

and paying attention in class instead

=/= changing in locker room

Our school has a stupid loving set of rules called "The Ray Way". One of the rules included is basicly summed up by this; "We aren't going to do stuff to help you find anything you loose". I already searched the people in the area. Really bummed out, is there any way I can track it only with my account?

Edit:@Trog; I don't have it registered to iCloud.

=/= changing in locker room
I guess that's a possibility
I didn't think about that, because I don't take gym
@Trog; I don't have it registered to iCloud.
I don't think it needs to be
you surely have an Apple ID, and I think that's all that matters

What do i do?

you wonder why you didnt buy an equivalent mp3 player that cost about 800% less.

@Trog; I don't have it registered to iCloud.
You should have.

dude all the cool cats buy iPods for apps and not for music

you wonder why you didnt buy an equivalent mp3 player that cost about 800% less.
Great idea man, because a off-brand MP4 player totally has internet, picture, video, music, apps, and messaging. Not to mention retina display and the best digitizer touch screen out there.
