pony images annoy me as well (outside of the pony thread of course) because then I know there's gonna be a giant stuffstorm that's hard not to pay attention to
don't get me wrong, I enjoy observing content created by the fandom, but I hate it in cases where it isn't necessary and isn't inside a thread where there's nothing to do with ponies at all, i.e. someone is a complete starfish in a post and someone else posts a picture of a pony crying in reply to that
if I see a pony image outside of the pony thread, I try my best to stay out of that thread where the image was posted
