...no it doesn't?

the colors do kinda
idk the darker yellow makes a nice fuely color but it certainly works for health too.

I think it should be a the brighter yellow going to the darker yellow and make the red slightly darker.
Also compairing the first thing I made for SS13, one year ago, to something I made yesterday.

Only the hair.

TF2 medic.

Needs more transition from yellow to red.

Wouldn't a natural red to orange to yellow work out better?

yeah okay personal opinion is aseprite is super clunky to work with
it's kind of shrinking and growing as it rotates isn't it, lol

Seems as though the people in this thread are getting better with their pixel art

here's a character temp.
things i've noted about good templates (for forum adventures and etc):
  • Give head real-estate (more space on their face)
  • Try to make editing a focused endeavour (design the template to have minimal editing required, ergo lower res, fewer limbs. Balance with detail/versatility)
  • Poseability (make sure limbs and moving bits can be altered easily without losing style)
I've probably missed it a bit on the last one, but i'm still pretty happy with results.
Of course, these are just what i've observed and prefer with this kind of stuff, you can still make appealing temps without these specific features - I'm not the authority on this subject.
if someone wants to use these by the way they can go right ahead
