cybertails youre trying to shoehorn too much detail into small areas with too little difference in coloring to make it look like youre trying to draw seperate shapes. also your anatomy is absolutely killing me theres like no effort put into limbs at all but youre trying to express body language anyway

like look at f3d his characters look like they could realistically support their own body weight. hes also doing the noise thing but apparently thats some sorta forgetin epidemic

here. here is how you make shading work. choose a color, and then make another color by jumping a few shades down from the initial color. dont make 30 forgetin highly precise variations of the same color, if anything eyedrop a darker color from elsewhere in the image and use that
