Torchlight 2, is an upcoming Action RPG coming to PC. Now before you go "Diablo Clone, Diablo rip-off!" I'd like to let you know Torchlight 1 and 2 were both developed by Blizzard north the creators behind Diablo 1 and 2. They also made a similar game by the name of fate.In Torchlight 1 you were restricted to one town and a dungeon, in torchlight 2 however, there are multiple towns, dungeons and new outdoor areas.

Now what made Torchlight/Fate so special is that you could have a pet. Pet's would attack people, learn magic and even pick up loot for you then carry the loot back to town so you won't have to waste a tp scroll just to sell things. But in Torchlight 2 Runic added a new feature, now your pet can go to town and buy basic items (Potions and scrolls) which makes it to where you can spend even more time on the field. Of course it has your standard Skill Tree and stuff, but people. I'm not saying Diablo 3 is better than Torch2, I'm not saying Torch2 is better than Diablo 3. They are both different games with some similarities, it's all a matter of opinion.

So, please discuss this soon-to-be amazing game.

Torchlight 2 is more like diablo 2 since most of blizzard north is making it. Diablo 3 is different in many ways, so many I can't explain them all, but I do know they ditched skill trees.

Got it pre-ordered, i think i like the idea behind the Torchlight series more then Diablo.
Might also be the price and thew fact that it got the people of Diablo 2 behind it. :)

I like Torchlight games better because if you don't like something you can just mod the game however you want

diablo 3 has dumb and small skill trees that are very straightforward
also you gotta be online 24/7 or you cant even play singleplayer

also torchlight 2 has mods you can play in coop too

I bought the 1st one on xbox, played it for long periods of time.. liked it so much I bought it on PC too (also it goes on sale 12837189723 times a year)
