this may be little OT but white bands do like nothing so it's definitely not a sport with them lol. just stand there and play their horns.

so...tossing people up in the air is a sport now? we march across an entire field, caring instruments, and playing them at the same time. sometimes the instuments way around 50 pounts, and you have to do it right every time,
Carrying 50 pounds when it's strapped around your body in such a way to distribute the weight through your core is easy as forget even for the least physically fit.
forget, it's easy to carry 200 pounds in such a way. Also walking across an "entire field" playing an instrument isn't the most physically demanding or difficult thing ever lol. Getting it right every time is just a matter of practice which is necessary for everything.
Compared to real sports (soccer, football, hockey, etc) it's loving child's play.

Super, which school do you go to? I'm in Yukon's band.

i carry a 30 pound packpack full of hard cover books all day, i also speak to my friends as i do it. walking to class is now a sport.

Now memorize 6 minutes of music and play it perfectly while trying to keep a formation. If you forget your music, it's going to fail. if you forget the formation, you're going to cause someone else to fall.

They can attach their music to their instruments, you know.

Not if its a competition band

not at contest, or games.

orchestra is also now a sport, so is being in a band and playing memory games.

So how does this make it a sport? No one is denying its hard, its just not a sport.

Anyone who thinks it isn't a sport has obviously not been in marching band. It's competetive, requires skill,  requires teamwork, and just generally has every aspect that other sports have. There are tournaments.. Also, if you think marching is less physically exerting than football or any other kind of sport than involves hard work physically, again you have never been in marching band.

It isnt a sport, your the only one who thinks it is.
Something telling me your parents say you have to play a sport because band isn't enough exercises, so you complain to the forums.
