I open the door to the kitchen.
"I heard that."

"Good." I say as I drop some salt on my work in progress meal, causing it to crackle loudly. "Didn't see that coming."

"What're you cooking?"

"I have NO idea."
"Ah, okay."
I munch on a handful of Oreos.
"Looks like some sort of steak."

"I think I'm making some sort of meat pie... DON'T EAT! You'll spoil breakfast!" I say jokingly.

I laugh.
"It's not a big deal. Besides, how are we ever gonna survive this without full stomachs?"

"By eating the odd stuff I cook." I say as I turn off the stove. "BREAKFAST IS READY! GET OVER HERE!" I shout out the kitchen door.

"Do you mind if I stay to eat?"

I glance at the man who was inexplicably in my room last night. "Just out of curiosity, who are you?"

"We have not met?" I ask.

"I'm David."

I give everyone about half a plate worth of my odd creation. After sitting down with some myself, I take the first bite. I instantly set down my fork and slap one hand over my mouth. "HOT!" I say with food still in my mouth. "HOT!"

"Alexia," I reply, outstretching my hand.

I press one hand against my mouth to try to hide my giggling.

"Can I play music?" Jack Norton says, eyelids drooping and eyes red.

I rush for the sink and begin spitting the food out as I shove water into it.
