That stinks, but you know, they're right about the income. A strong background in math can be extremely helpful.
However, talk to your dad about this. Talk to him as much as you can. You have to keep good relations with your parents.

Normally I'd say do what you love but the economy is stuff and overall the job openings for filmmaking is limited. I say go to the programming school...

But overall the production values, editing suites, etc. is still pretty hard to scrummage up from going to a filming high school only :/

Tell him he's an idiot to be deciding what YOU want to do, and that you won't flourish in a programming environment no matter what he convinces himself.

I talked to him. My mother, who isn't here (business trip bluh) needs an input before he does anything.

Tell him you'll do whatever it takes to go to the other school

My dad is a pain sometimes, telling me what I like and don't like, then when I turned 16 and he told me I should do this or that and I basically told him off. Not necessarily in a rage type of way but in a respectful strict way.
Tell your dad that this is your life. Tell him that you want to make your own choices in life.
If he seriously gets upset over that then he is a fool of a father. Tell him how you respect that he is trying to help you but you honestly want to continue doing what you like.
