If this is true... Nintendo has very much impressed me then.
The Wii U would be impressive it it was this generation of consoles. It's just barely beating the Xbox 360 and PS3. When the new Microsoft and Sony consoles are unveiled, I'm sure their specs will blow the Wii U's out of the water. Of course, specs aren't everything. But the rest of the Wii U looks absolutely terrible. First off, the name. I didn't think they could get any more stupid than Wii, but they did. Then there's the controllers. They're keeping the terrible old Wii controllers, and they're adding some sort of stuffty 5000 ft wide brick of a touchscreen. At least the Wii U will likely get the games that are going to be released on the other consoles unlike the Wii. If it doesn't though, that's another terrible thing. That was one of the main downfalls of the Wii. The fact that almost all of its games had to be specially made because the Wii was so inferior. Also, friend codes. I don't know what they did with the 3DS, but they better be done with that stuff.
The worst part of it is that no matter how bad it is, millions of idiots will go and buy it because they know nothing about gaming.
