The "Nice" people on the forum

Some users seem to be under the impression that they are on a quest to defend one another "nice" people against the overwhelming starfishs.

An example of some of these people are:

• Skorpion
• Comedy101experiments

Although, I must add that what makes it irritating is the fact they go into a topic and act like the victim of a brutal attack any time someone disagrees with you, and then they are backed up by the other "nice people" who blindly defend them for the sake of thinking they are martyrs to their cause.

Why would anybody defend "nice" people?

I defend people based off my opinion if I agree or disagree on their input.
People who defend others because they are their "friends" or they are "nice" are just handicaps who don't understand the point in arguing.
They just do it for a heroic sort of feeling, not for the actual argument itself.

I just tend to fume silently when everyone jumps on the "Holy stuff X sucks because of Y" bandwagon and just constantly insulting the person without much proof after page 2 of the thread. After that its just insult after insult after insult.

Skorpion is just going through the phase where he wants to gain more popularity with the forums but not by making a ton of dramas and pointing out people flaws. He wants to be different and be known as that nice guy who cares for others.

I completely agree with that motive and I have no problem with it but you're completely failing at it.

Why not be nice in the way that Magick Mage is? Don't only be nice to the person who is getting insulted, be nice to everyone! Point out how everyone has a good area and suggest improvements. Just never force your agenda onto others and be more respectful.

Being nice is never a good thing. This is always because when you are too nice, you never experience the arseholes and forgetups. If you are harsh you realize that you can stand up for yourself and it's a much better trait to have. It's a much better trait because it makes your confidence higher and you can express your opinion about others more freely.

Basically you can be nice and you can also be harsh. Just don't be too nice or you'll loose self confidence.
