will it be turn based combat?

i better be in it

just a tetris block in the background would be enough

It will follow the plot (Mostly, im making some changes) but it will also be actiony kinda. Fighting and stuff.
So just like, you run around like in any other side-scroller shooter and then there are occasional talking scenes?

What programming language?
What engine, if any?

Could I help out with sounds and sprites?

I'm probably at my best with lower-resolution and character sprites, though I can do larger objects as well.

And my sounds are probably my best work yet, though roughly half are heavily edited sounds found online so from-scratch sound creation would be slower (though I don't mind doing it).

ALSO PUT ME IN IT DHGHSGDH

Again it will have megaman styled fighting. I'm talking about the sidescroller aww yeah.
@port It is using the stencyl engine, as it is game maker on steroids and is just so much better.

What?
The game is going to be flash? Is that a problem?

there is literally no reason to use a insecure, proprietary system like Flash when you have wonders like HTML5, CSS3 and JS

Alright. No reason.
That is why I'm still going to make it with flash, because stencyl only lets you export with flash, or export to the chrome store.
I don't care how many faults flash has as long as it can make this game work to its expectations.
So far it hasn't disappointed me.

Double post:
They are adding support for HTML5, so I'll keep making it, and when the support comes out, export it as HTML5

Could you go into more detail about how the crafting and upgrading system works?

Could you go into more detail about how the crafting and upgrading system works?
Yeah, of course.
I'll go in chronological order.
You start by finding a recipe. Recipes can be found anywhere, generally in chests, rooms, and dropped by monsters. You can take it back to the lab to be examined by Alphadin (In Game Character). He tells you the resources to make it. Next you gather the resources. They are most commonly dropped by monsters and found in chests. If you don't know where to find them you go into Nick's room and ask him. You gather the resources, bring them to Alphadin and he'll craft it using his machines. To make ingots which are used the most and are dropped rarely, you just take x2 Junk (Always dropped by enemies)

Quick Example:
You slay an enemy with a really cool sword, and it drops a recipe. You abort/finish the level and take it to Alphadin and he tells you, "This is a recipe for a really cool sword. It requires:
1 Blade of Imagination
5 Imagination Ingots
1 Heavy Blade Tip"
You don't know where to find the tip so you how downstairs and find nick. Ask him where to find the tip and he'll say, "You should be able to get the tip from the dudes carrying the really cool sword."
You go kill them and hope one of them drop the tips. You get the tip and plenty of Junk. You chat with Alphadin and exchange 10 Junk for 5 ingots. Now you craft the really cool sword.

There you go. The crafting system.

So how many items/weapons can a player hold at a time? How many ingredients and recipes? Do they have an inventory or what.
