there will be less lag
if anything, wouldn't there be more lag in space builds from shadows?

since the removal of interiors and terrains would increase brick performance, like kompressor said.
i dont know what you mean, but that sounds helpful :o

how would i do that?
wrong.
lets say slayer was crap and buggy, and all the game-modes conflict with eachother.
removal of CTF support in the slayer mod doesn't increase slayer performance, but it makes it less conflicting. it allows for opportunity to increase performance through updates. but if done right from the beginning, that problem wouldn't have ever happened and slayer could work with CTF gamemodes and more.

removal of those 2 would only increase performance on maps that use that stuff. slopes would run "better" if... slopes had no slopes and was only snow falling. bedroom would have better performance.. without the bedroom. it wouldn't affect maps not running those

you're missing the point. it will be easier to build spaceships because the removal of terrains and interiors will make it lag less. kompressor said himself that bricks will have something like 1/3 to 2/3 of the lag associated with them gone because of the update.

no. its like brick physics, i always keep it off because things like that DO lag me. you can simply turn shadows off.

These two features (interiors and terrain) complicate Blockland’s code tremendously. That means we can’t add game features very quickly. They still have bugs in them (after years of work). They are slow, too - bricks are about 90% of their speed
if i have read it correctly, he's saying that terrains and interiors are responsible for 90% of lag on bricks. all maps currently are interiors/terrains so we can only really know the true difference once the update comes. regardless, i firmly believe that there will be far less lag thanks to the update. this is why spacebuilds are going to become less strenous to make in terms of computer performance.

i think he meant bricks are 90% faster.. either that or bricks are 90% of their speed, meaning they are 10% slower.

anyway, i bypass the event limit through script. i had to event a huge brick door to open, and it was too many bricks, so i just made the script get called which set all the bricks the properties i wanted.

and i can't wait for space builds and shaders. we will be able to make some creepy and cool stuff. and better laser effects! i hope we still have a self-illuminate option!

I'm so confused...

Anyway, try copy/pasting this in console:

Code: [Select]
$Game::MaxQuota::Schedules = 10000; $Pref::Server::Quota::Schedules = 10000;
This should raise the schedule limit to 10,000. I didn't test it though.

That might work. A reason it might not is that quota objects may be created beforehand.

Nevermind, I don't want to get banned.

It works for the vehicle limit :D
What are the variables called for vehicles?
$Pref::Server::Quota::MaxVehicles?

Let's not talk about that here, I would rather not be banned.

Why would you be banned?

Pretty sure that Badspot doesn't like people getting around the restrictions he places.

Also, another reason to not discuss it openly is so that Badspot doesn't block even more things from being modded/changed.
