bsods dont occur naturally.
its caused from swapping parts incorrectly
a decade of dust built up on the inside.
errors from updating OS over the years but never updating drivers.
errors from allowing viruses to be on the computer running harddrives into the ground.

a mid level computer user dosnt have these issues. it really takes a complete handicap to break a computer.

Lub once again tries to deceive people to support himself and to defend his actions.

Living a delusion.

Could it be caused by a cheap component not having a very long life?

Not sure what that post means Kalph, but ok.

no offense, but only HIPPIES would buy a imac, since they have a million dollas and iMACs suck BALLZ

Never did anything to it, as I say I lost interest in computers. Must just be stuffty hardware.
typically floor models of computers or badly shipped computers have issues

Almost any prebuilt computer, Mac or PC, has cheap components.

I built it myself and it was completely perfect for about a year. The GPU was only like £30 because I have no interest in games so i'll put it down to that being a piece of stuff.

Except here's the major problem that mactards don't highlight: Apple sells Apple computers. Microsoft doesn't sell computers. Windows is licensed through 100s of retailers.

well the only parts ive ever had "die" on me for no apparent reason, were RAM (thank god its the cheapest and easiest part on a computer to replace)
and a power supply, though i suspect that computer i built wasnt handling heat very well, and it was the cause.

i have heard of harddrives stuffting out on people. but they have been writing on and off the things for years, or claimed used old ones to add to their computer.
brand new HDD should last at least a decade with basic use.

i think mac users can buy and rebuy extended warranties beyond the free limited one at purchase.
however pc users have lifetime factory warranties on all parts from every company. regardless when or where you got the pc

Hm fair enough, as I said above it was probably the GPU being stuff. The Apple Genius Bar is fantastic for support, especially if you have an extended warranty, no need to mess about shipping parts back to manufacturers and waiting weeks, they just sort it there and then.

I'm pretty sure everything has been covered. Can I go to bed now?

Yes, it takes a complete handicap to swap parts incorrectly, I seriously opened up my ps2 to electrical tape a sensor in there.
It was easy as forget and took 0 effort whatsoever (1 if you include opening the damn stuffty case)

Changing a GPU in a computer, IT WAS EASIER THEN THAT!
wtf handicaps it cant be that hard changing a gpu.

All I can say is that Apples OS's are very comfortable to work with. That is all.

Except here's the major problem that mactards don't highlight: Apple sells Apple computers. Microsoft doesn't sell computers. Windows is licensed through 100s of retailers.
That's actually an advantage for apple, they don't have to make their OS work on any possible hardware combination.

Yeah Apple warranties tend to be really expensive.
However they have much better customer service (this is been proven by surveys).

doing it wrong means you are buying parts that arent compatible. or dont have enough power for the new part to run, or simply dont update drivers for the parts.

shows how much you know about computers though. i thought everyone understood this. apparently you didnt
