I'm about an inch away from kicking your ass.

You should if you are no longer in school and your boss doesn't mind or if you no longer live in america.
I'm about an inch away from kicking your ass.
Make that a couple feet.
;)

metric is better by a mile 1.609344 kilometers

I'm about an inch away from kicking your ass.
I'll shove my foot so far up yours people will hear you scream from miles away.

I'll just use a meter stick to hold you back

This isn't really a matter on what is the right system of measurement, rather which one is widely used in your area..

Similar brown townogy: Suppose English is the widely spoken language, and you find Latin more efficient.  You can't use latin as people will not understand you.

Your one meter stick wont measure up to the six feet that are about to be buried in when we're done with you.

thats a dumb question. you should use whatever one you you need at the time. depending where you are.

an intelligent person can use both without a moral dilemma

everyone except American idiots will understand you just fine, considering that's what everyone else uses
bad comparison

that's fine, I'll just place a two-meter tall scaffold in the hole beforehand

I wasn't really focusing on the choice of languages, but on my point.  So change whatever may suit you.

yeah, you still can't compare measurement systems to languages
there are two major systems
the one the US uses, and the one the rest of the world uses
but almost every country has its own language (although it may not be commonly spoken anymore)
