well if its animated movie (avatar counts as animated, the thing is loving 90% cgi) its fine.but when you have cgi elements in a live action movie, its noticeable and bad. even the new hulk from avengers was obvious and stuffty.
I like it when it's a mixture of CGI and animatronics Jurassic park's effects were amazing when it came out.
CGI are computer generated images. In a movie like say "Over the Hedge" the entire movie is CGI but in Real life movies they're so obvious and look like stuff. Example : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMeTTiRz9LsAnimatronics are stop motion robots that when done right look amazingThey also can be in real time using robotics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdjhRZOhdXU
You're a complete idiot. You chose the worst example of CGI you could find compared to the best animatronic example you could find. When it's done properly it looks proper amazing.Everything in that video is CGI.
I'm trying to show off CGI with people who don't know how to use it properly. (Which is a lot) That's why people should stick with Animatronics.
Please try reading the topic before flinging insults from your starfish.
Condense it to the opening post then. I don't have time to read through every stuffty topic.
i like robots and makeup/costumes in movies more then animated stuff.no matter how good cgi gets, its still obvious and stuffty.
It would be incredibly hard to do that for a movie though, that guy probably took years just to do those few cutscenes.

which is why we keep moving forward. keep making it better faster stronger. ofc we could just be stuck in the 90's instead.
CGI is bad because stuffty movies are stuffty? are you kidding me?
