Author Topic: I plan on joining the Marines once I get out of highschool  (Read 3163 times)

Just by reading this I can tell you are a Republican Christian.

Sherlock Holmes right here.

I'm actually unaffiliated ;)

I really want to fly helicopters, but I'm I afraid I'll never be educated enough ;-;

there usually aren't that many stuffty cops in towns with higher crime rates because the cops who want power usually don't want to deal with actual crime. Most stuff cops are in big tourist towns where you get payed for being a fatass and pepper spraying teenagers for skateboarding in a public park.
Well my town isnt exactly las vegas so i guess that explains that lol

marines are DUMB

I want to join the airforce
and pilot something with fixed wings

It seems like you already know about the military and not one of those people that wants to join for an action movie Call of Duty experience, so that saves me a lecture. But even if you really know you want to join the military after highschool, keep trying through the rest of your years, even if you're getting C's and D's because you may change your mind, being that you still have three years of highschool. Also you'll need the knowledge for when the military gives you a scholarship.

I doubt joining some underfunded peace group and building one school in one place that will probably get destroyed or decay into nothing would be very helpful though. I could be wrong, you probably are more knowledgeable on the subject.
Yeah you are wrong.

Why are you in this topic Seventh? One big requirement for a Marine is manners!

That means you gotta chew with your mouth closed ;)

is sev anti-military or something
unless he just cares more than he should about red, that's what it seems like

I could never join the military due to my conscience

I have thought about the Corps myself, but then I figured I could never live with taking the life another human unless my life depended on it. I might join the National Guard only to pay for college. Anyway I want a career law enforcement after notcing the growing gang violence and drug trade in my county.

I could never join the military due to my conscience
that's one reason I wanna be a pilot
don't gotta see the mfs you BLOW UP

You can make a difference without fighting over oil.
It's funny that people believe this because it doesn't even makes sense. If the purpose of the war was to secure oil for America, why would we bomb a major oil producing country whose production still hasn't recovered and other people have had to try and replace, as well as burn billions of dollars worth of fuel on military vehicles? The war in Iraq used about 128 million barrels of oil products in 2009 (which is roughly the entire yearly oil consumption of a small country). To boil it down to a snappy quote, giving free oil to a country a third of the size of Belgium for a year does not sound like a winning oil strategy to me.

The fact of the matter is that there is only one reason we're in Iraq and it's because we forgeted up and thought the country had giant stockpiles of WMDs ready to destroy the entire world. Surprise, it didn't, and now we've been stuck with putting the pieces back together for 11 years.
