Shush.

"My name is Matthew Dawn, at least, that's the name I currently assume. I probably had a different one at some point."

You park the truck near a brush of trees. You can see the edge of the lake sparkling in the sunlight. It was getting late and there was probably not enough time to drive anywhere else. You've finally managed to lower your vocal settings.

"My name is Matt, but that's not important. We're here. What now?"

"You stay here, I'll go do my...thing"

"I'm not staying here. I'm coming with you"

"Are you kidding me? NO way!"

You both got out of the truck and looked towards the lake. You made sure to keep the gun at your side.

"I'm going with you." you insisted

"No you're not." said Snno

Snno began to walk towards the lake and by impulse you grabbed her arm.

"I don't trust you!"

Suddenly a cuff sprouted from your forearm. And a short magnetic click followed.

You didn't know you could do that.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? GET IF OFF"

You search your arm for a button...

"I don't know how!"

Well this is certainly an interesting situation, but the good news is that she can't go anywhere alone now...

So you're a police robot? Also, kill it with your gun.

So you're a police robot? Also, kill it with your gun.

Hush, you.

You go fix your arm in lakewater, I'll... close my eyes or look the other way or something.

I wanted to say he looked like Admiral Face.

Shoot the thing off her arm by firing between the two.

Shoot the thing off her arm by firing between the two.
that would be shooting yourself and damaging, sounds like a horrible idea

initiate sympathy sequence and apologize

Okay.  Say you are very sorry.
Will it to get off or something.  If that fails, could you use magnets to get it off?  You said a 'magnetic click' unless you meant metallic.

Just try and think it off, long and hard.  You still need some control over your 'body'.

"It's Locked! I can't undo it, and shooting it off is too risky..."

"How is it that you don't know your own abilities?"

"...It's not like I knew I was a robot when I woke up. I'm really sorry, I would get it off if I could."

"There you go again, you're like, menacing the next and suddenly you're the nicest thing ever..."

"..."

"...Looks like you're going to have to heal with me."

You go fix your arm in lakewater, I'll... close my eyes or look the other way or something.

You really had no choice like she said, you had to go down there now. No changing your mind. You and Snno make your way to the edge of the lake and pause momentarily at the edge. Snno broke the silence by kneeling down and plunging her arms forcefully into the sandy bank underneath the water bringing you down with her.

The center of the lake turned momentarily black as the smokey grey and black fluid rushed into her hands and traveled down the rest of her body. It was an interesting sight to see, but you were a robot, that's about as interesting as things could get for you... Unless you dipped your hand into the Darkwater.

"What are you doing!" yelled Snno.

"Touching it. Why?" You dumbly replied

"there's no way to tell how it affects you! It's not so kindly to humans and who knows what it might do to something electronic!"

You didn't feel anything, and that certainly didn't call for alarm...did it? You pulled your hand out and watched the strange water dance around your hand. It absorbed right down to the wires and you could feel it. If anything it made you feel less hungry.

*chink*

The cuff was off and you were free... or was Snno free... It didn't matter right now. You were still intent on keeping Snno at your side.

"I think I'm fine." You said.

Snno's wound seemed to have vanished without a trace, and the smoke had stopped billowing out of her arm.
