Author Topic: Steam greenlight announced  (Read 1936 times)

I think blockland is too expencive anyway, $15 would be a better price point.
You signed up in 2005 and you're still here so obviously it's worth it.

But on steam next to tons of better games that are much cheaper?

but there's no better games named blockland, are there?

I think Badspot or Kompressor said that they did try to get it on steam, but valve denied it for some reason.
I'd be interested in hearing more, can you find a quote?

Uh oh.
ATTENTION! POTENTIAL TROLL ALERT! Back away from the keyboard, and against the wall. Do not attempt to flame and rage. DO NOT feed the troll.

You're silly.

OH MY loving GOD YES
:D
This is awesome.

Guys you would get a free hat for tf2 which would just be a blockhead's head, but would include all the faces as different styles.

how much of a cut would steam take if badspot put it up?

i know he already makes very little from each sale
It would still have higher profit considering it being on steam
When games are introduced there they usually get a huuge bump in players but that is usually the case with F2P games. If BL was introduced however it would need to look good and make sure people would be looking into it. If it was on the featured page for at least a day I am sure it would get plenty more people

Has anyone contacted ye olde Badspoticus about this topic?

If he read both this and the Greenlight announcement he'd probably be able to give a pretty definitive answer about the topic.

Blockland looks like stuff when compared on a wall next to other games (but it's not, don't even start!). I really don't think Steam would help sales at all. Plus I think Badspot said something about the current keys being a problem, I dunno.
