Author Topic: The OUYA, a new kind of console.  (Read 8297 times)

You don't buy the same game for both consoles.
Err, as I said, it's still the game's problem, not the console's.
Consoles are usually used for local multiplayer. But sure, if you need it you could just plug one in and run an application for it.
I've never had any problems with it on the ones that had it though.
thats not what I am saying, example: Black Ops 2 comes out for xbox 360, I buy it for $60, I need a game for the OUYA(I understand games are free but its like a trial or something) and then I spend more money again. Thats what I am trying to say, most people or about 20 people that I know stick with one console to buy games for it.

This will most likely be a bust. I cant even pronounce OUYA so I can gurantee you thats not catching on, plus this will most likely bomb and Id have wasted 100 dollars. I dont get how they raised millions I really dont.

People either didn't read the fine print or actually WANT a android based console.

who the hell does PRIMARILY local multiplayer..? the only game with that kinda value is mario party.
fkng NOSTlgiaaaaaa

2. Very strong multiplayer servers (like ps3 and xbox have)
...
Obviously the game needs to have the feature but you need servers it wont work at all. Jesus Christ.

No, I mean, the responsibility to host those servers are on the game developer, not the console developer. It'd be like expecting Microsoft or Valve to host all the servers for multiplayer games for Windows/Steam.

I haven't backed it (yet) but I'd be very interested in this as a media center device.

So you can't see it getting popular because you can't pronounce the name?

You only buy each game for one console. You don't need to own every game for every console you own. Are you stupid?

Do you know anything about Marketing. No one will purchase the "Ouya"

maybe if it were spelled "ooya" instead of "ouya," which makes you want to pronounce it ow-yeah to make sure that u is in there

but i know nothing about marketing

Android is Linux-based.
I know. What my point was is that Linux (in general) has more games than Android.

yes that is totally relevant
What I'm saying is that I'm not trying to fanboy around, I'm just trying to address Altiris' concerns.
