Author Topic: Opinions on the new Need for Speed : Most Wanted  (Read 927 times)

Just wondering what your opinions are about the new need for speed. The makers of burnout (Criterion) is now making the new Need for Speed game.

A lot of people are hating on it because they're claiming its just going to be "Burnout Paradise 2"
They're almost hating because of no customization of your car

In my opinion the game looks sick. I was a big fan of Most Wanted and the Burnout Series and this game just looks incredible.

Also, no customization seems lame.

Criterion said that they dont make new games they only "refurbish" the only need for speed games.

cant put spoilers on my car :(

The customization wasn't important.  Most of it is just straight upgrading, which you had to do every time you got a new car.

Things to improve I've noticed from my moderate playing time
  - When you crash, it looks cool and awesome because you're going into slow motion. A few seconds later you realize that you are no longer in slow motion and your car is completely stopped 10-20 yards past the crash site. I mean, seriously, what the forget. You go from 200mph+ to zero in less than a few car lengths, even if you just hit the corner of an obstacle (see next point)
  - The collision boxes are ridiculous and oversized. I mean, I try to scrape against a car moving in the opposite direction and it registers a hit like %50 of my front fender hit the other car. Note: I'm comparing these physics directly with the car physics in gta IV, which are a little closer to reality in most respects.

There are tons of good things about this game, I just don't feel like listing them all.
