Nord huscarls walk over everything. I never cared much for mounted units, so their lack of horsemen doesn't bother me. Typically, I have Nord huscarls + Rhodok sharpshooters + Vaegir marksmen. I honestly fear what would happen if I got into a war with the Nords, simply because they have boss melee units. There's few if anything at all that can shatter a wall of 30 Nord huscarls. (Un)luckily, depending on whose side you're on, Jarls tend to have few huscarls with them. They'll still forget up any lone/small groups of weaker soldiers in a large brawl, though.
I'm using the mod that makes lords flee Calradia if they get shunned from all factions and I applied it around day 1000. Boom, almost every lord is gone. The Nords, who had owned half the world, are crumbing like a bridge made of wet sand. The Swadians, who had everyone's boots on their head, are now taking over the world, thanks to having
more lords than almost every other faction, save mine (for comparison, most other factions have 7 lords at max). The Rhodoks are still chilling in their mountains, the Khergits and Sarranids are still pushing and shoving, with the Khergits losing ground to my faction, the Confederation of Cheese. The Vaegirs went extinct long ago at the hands of the Nords, whom I was part of back then, but defected when I didn't get a castle just for the hell of it.
Rhodoks + my lands.More of my land + Khergits. Those dirty Swedes Swads. The Sarranids took some old Swadian and Vaegir lands, as you can tell. Sargoth and a castle or two are pretty much the last of the Nord strongholds. I have the most lords (most of which who hate me), with Swadia in second. I haven't played M&B: Warband in at least a couple months, though... I need to play again and take over the world.
