If you stick your head in a brick by crouching and going towards a brick until you can't move in any further you can see the sun flare through the brick. Tested on a 12x1x5 brick with a day cycle on.

Is no problem, this is intentional, and old.


I did that, and it is still crashing.


It's not crashing, try turning your settings down, it seems its failing to initialize from my point of view, as it always ends in reactivation of the window.

I had everything on minumum/or off

C'mon now, I know there are plenty of computer experts and builders on the forums.
It will run using the Mac's drivers. There will be no benefit to running it on a virtual machine.

This appears to be an issue with having sound downloads off then attempting to play one of the sounds you didn't download.  As a work around you can turn on "download sounds" in the network options.

Just disable rendering.

The thing is, bricks with rendering disabled from the wrench GUI cannot fire projectiles, emit light or play sounds etc.
