A good idea can rarely be kept out of the world view. Take super soldiers for example, I made them only to find out blazer had beaten me to it (albeit with crude implants and not the elegance of the human genome, current problems notwithstanding).
Telar's mech suits have gotten an upgrade. By
copying stealing mimicking the design of the handheld railgun and making it proportionate to the mechs, the old gun they used becomes obsolete, plus the mech's superior strength allows for no bipod. To make up for the loss of rapidity, the two miniguns on the shoulders remain, using incendiary and armor piercing bullets (Telar has long discontinued the use of normal bullets). The mechs are now also equipped with a laser of moderate strength.
