New Manhattan's fleet suffers the calculated amount f damage, losing 6-7 battleships and around fifteen or so NGET's.  Hovercraft carrying soldiers and civilian construction crews land on the coast, setting up several forward operations bases, as well as mobile SAM and artillery platforms.  As a foothold is set up on the coasts of Syriak, helicopters take off from the aircraft carriers, landing troops on the coast, where they begin digging trenches and setting up barbed wires and tank stoppers.

The mobile SAMs begin engaging the helicopters, using laser guided projectiles.

Mobile artillery platforms and machine gunners open fire on the troops and mechs.

EDIT:  Cargo planes from New Manhattan airdrop more soldiers on the beaches, and artillery support is offered from New Manhattan's fleet.
