Well, do you think that they'd be trained to combat lasers?  I doubt it, since the first target that they had to attack was Kintharia, which as far as I know, has no standard-issue laser weaponry.  Also, it is much more likely that they were quickly-trained since their operations would be found mostly underground and that they were constantly attacked.  Basically, their soldiers would be pouring in, but would be falling through their hands like sand.
What advantages do lasers have over regular weapons?

What advantages do lasers have over regular weapons?

Instant travel time, invisible except for the heat singe, they're AWESOME

Major disadvantage is that the moment somebody starts wearing mirrors the lasers just don't work.

In a crowded tunnel, travel time doesn't matter, you can't see bullets unless they're tracer or you're really good, and they're not better than conventional weapons.

The speed at which the beam travels is the speed of light.
Melting, igniting or cutting your foes to pieces over a very distance with perfect accuracy.
Can also drill through rocks with the right frequency and intensity.

Melting, igniting or cutting your foes to pieces over a very distance with perfect accuracy. Smoke diffuses light, makes it incredibly impractical.

If mirrors start being used, then the frequency of the sonars on the ERLU-123s can be adjusted to resonate the mirrors so they shatter.

The disadvantage to mirrors is that holding one up gives away your position.
Already negated.  -->  It's a fact.  You cannot negate facts.
Smoke diffuses light, makes it incredibly impractical.  -->  The turrets can spread light and heat anything slowly.  The turetts work like the MWR-9RM4

Travel time doesn't matter when the tunnel is barely 24 ft in width.
Heat reflectors. Ceramics are great at spreading heat over a large area, thereby diffusing the damage.

This.  Although it's probably squeaky as hell.

Either way, we could just just dump Åkkèłé down there, then light it up.

NM Soldier, tanks, and mechs pour into the city after the defending force is decimated, they secure any living civlians and send them behind the frontlines for treatment if wounded.  Four squads of NMSSDA meet up with the previous team, and the five teams leave the Roverican and NIR spec ops behind to surround the Iron Legion HQ building, as well as almost a thousand soldiers and about ten heavy MRGS mechs and ten NGET mechs.  A bullhorn activates on one of the MRGS mechs, and it says, "Surrender now, or be destroyed! We have you surrounded, you have no chance!"
