Foxes/Wolves were the first to make an appearance as "furries" I think.
I don't know if you could say "first"
IMO I'd say:
Quote
The fandom for furry characters traces its organization back to a science fiction convention in 1980,[2] when a drawing of a character from Steve Gallacci’s Albedo started a discussion of anthropomorphic characters in science fiction novels, spawning a discussion group that met at various science fiction and comics conventions.
Whatever species that 'character' was, which I can't find

Most likely a woodland creature.

it was probably this (the female)

from Albedo Anthropomorphics, which was what Steve Gallacci created

EDIT : Wow why do i fail at bbcode today

yeah mine just stopped working for me too

you also broke your image tags zombie
is there anything else I can call you? I don't particularly like calling someone "zombie"

Only slightly on-topic, but why do people say Badspot hates furries? The only blatantly anti-furry thing I've seen him do was tell Headcrab Zombie to yiff in Hell, and I suspect that was more personal enmity.

just that
there was also a time when he took away some furries' rights to use avatars
but that was because they were cropped from research

Man, people who say that are masters of extrapolation.

I'm pretty sure the MLP wouldn't exist if he did.

I've seen him post other comments and a few anti-furry comics

And I'm not saying he certainly doesn't, just that, if he does, he's mature enough not to W40K all over us.

I don't think he particularly likes warhammer either

Stop using big words Wynd, it hurts my head.
