Foxes/Wolves were the first to make an appearance as "furries" I think.
The fandom for furry characters traces its organization back to a science fiction convention in 1980,[2] when a drawing of a character from Steve Gallacci’s Albedo started a discussion of anthropomorphic characters in science fiction novels, spawning a discussion group that met at various science fiction and comics conventions.
Image doesn't work for me.
Only slightly on-topic, but why do people say Badspot hates furries? The only blatantly anti-furry thing I've seen him do was tell Headcrab Zombie to yiff in Hell, and I suspect that was more personal enmity.
just thatthere was also a time when he took away some furries' rights to use avatarsbut that was because they were cropped from research
there's also that comic he posted a while ago telling furries to get the forget outi cant find it though
And I'm not saying he certainly doesn't, just that, if he does, he's mature enough not to W40K all over us.
