So what era of warfare are you looking into for this mod? Judging by the designs, is Square Soldiers Vietnam War themed? I'm asking because I was thinking of pitching an idea/concept art for a class or some vehicles.

Vietnam War era theme for the entire thing, weapons Im fine with any genre excluding modern.
I want this to be a whole new game

Yeah, speaking of Berserker I need to finish his design.

Also for the sentry I was thinking an AA12 modified to a sentry mount but it would shoot slug rounds (more suited for turrets I guess)

Hm, until I can figure out how to post concept art or learn to model, I'll just throw in some of my class ideas:

Class: Trapper(Work in progress name)
Health: REALLY stuff LOW
Allocation: Defense/Support
Items(Work in Progress): Knife/Suppressed pistol(Less dmg than Snubnose, yet faster fire rate and reload, plus quiet), binoculars, fake foliage, shovel, etc. (Have fun with weps for this class:) )
Uniform: Camo Suit with a tree branch or two sticking on top of his hat
Abilities: As the name suggests, the Trapper creates traps(Surprise surprise). Essentially the red-headed brother to the engineer(Figuratively), he can lay hidden Punji Spikes by digging holes and covering them with foliage, rig tripwires with nades/mines, or dig a REALLY deep hole to break some legs. (If this class does get used, feel free to suggest other traps or tricks for him. He is a trolling type of class after all :cookieMonster:)
Best against: Berserkers and Medics
So-so against: Soldiers, Engineers, and other Trappers
SCREWED against: Firebugs, Heavies(More or less), and Marksmen.
Tactics for dealing with Trappers:

1. Set traps can be revealed and/or predetonated if shot at. Be perceptive!
2. A Trapper is a sitting duck while setting up a trap. Be sneaky!
3. A Trapper's shovel makes quite the noise. Be attentive!
4. A Trapper can accidently kill themselves and other teammates with their traps. BE CONSIDERATE(Although options can be made for toggling off teamkills from traps, but for balance the Trapper will still be killed by it's own devices whether or not toggled on or off).

Tactics for Trappers:

1. Camo suit allows them to be practically invisible so long as they hold still or crouch walk. Be silent!
2. Focus on Berserkers and brave Medics(Pshhh, yeah right). Amongst the other classes, they were meant to counter these damn psychos with pointy blades especially. Be oppurtunistic!
3.You can set down a "marker" to let yourself know where your traps are. Likewise, you can fool enemies with them and make mistakes.
4. LISTEN TO SMOKEY BEAR KIDS. FIRE AND TRAPPERS DON'T MIX. And to a lesser extent, Heavies and Soldiers can be just as bad with their machineguns and rifles.

SHORT SUMMARY SHORTER: It's like playing Minecraft PVP with the main emphasis on trolling tactics via hidden traps :cookieMonster:.

Oh, and of course the catchphrases:

1. Cmon, cmon, cmon!
2. Best foot forward, eh?
3.I just bagged the dumbest man alive(or dead)!
4.One small step for man, one giant leap...into Hell!

Also note: On the last post regarding friendly fire for allies, I'm suggesting that friendly soldiers can walk over traps safely and may be highlighted on the ground for ONLY friendlies. These can toggled on or off in the admin's options menu.
