they could just make the detonation range have a ramp up instead

it would reward demos who are accurate and give those caught in close quarters a fighting chance

god loving dammit the sticky-slingers ACTUALLY cried loud enough
1. Reduce blast radius for stickies until they hit the ground
2. Sticky spammers will still have fun destroying buildings n' stuff
3. People don't complain about air-stickies
4. Everyone is happy

earlier I found a guy trying to kill me with the rocket jumper

ugh
I hate sticky slinging demomen
I use to be one but I realized that it was no fun to do at all and switched over to Grenadeknight which is much more enjoyable (shooting a grenade and then ramming someone with a shield is so much fun)

they can also pretty much counter EVERYTHING

Medic heavy combo? nope stickes flying straight through your heavy into the medics foot.
Soldier? Nope airborne stickies ahoy
Pyro trying to airblast the stickies? hah cant airblast them while in the air sucker!
Sniper? Pfft lemme just football throw these stickies over onto him to throw him off his sniping spot.
engineer? normal sticky bomb solvable situation, get destroyed.

Literally there is NO COUNTER to a sticky bomb slinging demoman except heavy the forget out of him.

Sticky demo > demo knights as they can actually contribute to the team

You've clearly never seen anyone even semi-decent play Demoknight. Especially with the new shield capable of pretty much bringing down an entire team.

I guess I haven't because I never see a demo cap a point alone or grab the intel like a regular demo can, lol.

... and valve nerfs it:
+40% more turn control
+10 charge on kill
+10% blast resistance
+fire doesn't make your screen jitter
-impacts hurts you for 30 damage

nah they wouldn't do that but they'll definitely nerf it, cause at this point it's makes alot of the previous unlocks redundant

what if they updated the boots to speed increases instead

Then you definitely haven't, they aren't too common though.

I've capped the intel/taken/defended a point too many times to count as a Demoknight. It's even pretty easy for me to take down Heavy Medic pairs with a head or two. I'm not saying Demoknights are more viable, but if played to their potential, they certainly contribute a hell of a lot to the team.

demoknight was intended to be a pickclass, but the new shield is like giving the scout an assault rifle: you know stuff has hit the fan. i love it when they get roostery and starts charging at me, only to get hop scotched by my scotres B) the lack of sticky launcher makes them have to charge

i'd take any strange scot res, i'm already earning up to a killstreak kit so whynaut

I refuse to use the new shield, I'm def not getting attached to something that more than likely will be getting a nerf, and I don't find it fair in general.

I guess you're right.

grenadeknights are the most viable non-scum demo type to play.

i mean being able to have good ranged and melee damage is amazing.

hey why not use the stickylauncher to lay traps like its supposed to?

his name is the demoman
