I don't get it, what is this?
If you alt tab out to desktop (so minimize tf2) while searching for a mvm game, when you connect to one the little box of tf2 being minimized will flash like if you got a steam message steam flashes. :D

Would that work if i alt tabbed out even though i play in windowed with no borders? As long as the window is no longer in focus, right?

I think it would be the same as the steam message

Yeah, probably.

I go on outpost to sell stuff. I make a huge text with all the things I'm selling / buying. Finally get done, click 'add trade'.

Only to find out steam servers are down or something, because it said it couldn't add it due to steam servers D:

Why does most servers crash if you have custom content installed? I've only replaced some weapon models and the class textures, and some sounds.

I've replaced the Dispenser's idle sound with a song, but on some servers it just plays as a forgetton of different game sounds at a varying pitch and random noise, followed by the game crashing.
I have no idea, I get this too all the time and reinstalling doesn't remove the custom content aaaaaaaa.

*win mvm match on mann up mode*
*nobody gets items/the level isnt apparently completed*
*tf game coordinator is down and that's why*

curse you valve

What I did to remove custom content was just go to the 'tf' folder, and delete "sounds" "Materials" "models" and stuff like that, depending on what kind of custom content you have installed. Worked for me. My tf2 used to crash all the time until I did that.

Because Source handles customs sounds very stuffty when the engine is forced not to play them because morons set their server to sv_pure. Solution is simple: just keep tabs on the sounds you install and move them to a different folder when you know you're going to play on a pure server.

I always fixed it by changing the image of the scout so it has a green orb in the image somewhere next to the scout to signify the server allows custom content. If it's not there I quickly disconnect before I crash.

isn't there an easier way to check if a server has pure on or not?

Oh woah that's a good idea.

Not really, because if you join an sv_pure server, leave, and go to one that's not, your models and stuff will be messed up since Source is such a great engine.

how do you get unique stuff on a mann up server instead of generic stuff
