That's not true to the name and it would break the medic's main purpose. Look again, it's anti-deathray.

they'd likely have to make it still heal but with a slower heal/uber rate if they ever did it

I thought it would be a ray against death. In other words, heal the target. Pretty much what the medic does already, which makes sense.
