Why does the guitar have the Engineer's icon on it when light shines on it at certain angles?

most likely because one of the engineer's taunts involves an acoustic guitar, and at some point an electric replacement was intended only for him, but was later added to all classes. just my theory.

or it means engie is getting a polycount set with a bonus

omg half life 3!!

Apparently TF2's going to be upgraded to SteamPipe, the system that L4D2 and Portal 2 uses. Custom files will be packed into .vpk files.

People on Facepunch are also talking about how there's supposedly a big update coming this week, and they're saying it will likely give us that 15 minute video

it's about time.  I doubt it will use custom VPK content, it's too cumbersome for pretty much everything.  CS:GO and Portal 2 already abandoned the idea.  The game's content will be in VPK files though.  Maybe this means that the workshop will be utilized for maps now too.

Also for non-modders: this means no more random file verifications and the game will update much faster and have much smaller file sizes.  Also, if the Half-Life and Counter-Strike updates were anything to go by, there could be some new engine features from newer games/old, annoying bugs being fixed.  Now just if the rest of the Source 2007 and GoldSRC games were ported...

If it's going in VPKs, does that mean that all the sounds, models, materials, etc will mostly be located in the name_dir.vpk instead of team fortress 2 sounds.gcf/team fortress 2 materials.gcf? Or do you think they're still gonna be in separate files, just differently named?

Go back to windows side, find the program you installed to install Linux, use the uninstall application
Forgot to mention that I installed via a Iso on a DVD RW

Never mind: VPK add-ons are coming! Downloads will also no longer reside in the default folders, but the downloads folder.  The rest of the orange box engine games are coming with tf2.  Valve, you have some updates to give to the CSGO community.
