So, I downloaded the steampipe beta, and here's my opinion on it

-Launch and load times are definitely faster

-Custom files and stuff are really easy to convert over (you literally move the same pathing over to a different folder, and can make it a vpk using the vpk tool in the bin folder, also the readme says that making it a vpk makes it work faster so its probably for the best)

It's getting pretty late, starting to think the rumors that the update was tonight were a myth. It seems much more likely that they'll do it along with the SteamPipe update on the 30th.
