lots of people are great with the amby, sure they might not hit 100% of the time but a lot of people hit loads. i met a guy on a server yesterday that i couldn't kill as a scout because he was hitting those headshots like no tomorrow.
define crutch for me, ill see if our definitions are the same because im thinking maybe they aren't. i define crutch as something that better players will do worse with than they would another, and worse players would do better with than another.
it's really not inhuman to land 1 - 3 headshots with the amby, i've done it before and i know a couple of people that do it many times a day consistently and trust me they are a bugger to kill haha.
I've managed to do the same, but I've also met WAY more Spies (the actual good ones!) that kill me with the revolver instead.
And my definition of a crutch would be something that caters to inexperienced players that is really all around bad for good players. The revolver change is a change in playstyle not a change in how effective it is. The liberty launcher I can't say the same for, you literally have your rocket launcher but worse, if you get used to the actual rocket speed for the stock you see that it becomes completely useless because now you have a rocket launcher with less ammo and speed you don't need.
All of the revolvers are changes in playstyle, there aren't really any crutches in them unless you use it incorrectly, like if you can use the diamondback and manage to actually get saps, you're going to out dps ANY revolver, but use it like the stock and you now have yourself a crutch.
