You can go on a journey with a Quick-Fix Medic and i think hookshot currently uses the kill icon for the last weapon you attacked the enemy with

It uses the default skull and crossbones icon.  Found this out when I teamed up with four other teammates to box a medic in and beat him to death with hooks.
