Recently just found this.
This is a community driven mod of TF2, called Team Fortress 2 Classic.

It adds a bunch of new stuff.

4 Teams w/ 4 Team Gamemodes
New classes
New weapons
New maps
New features (like flashlights & working ladders)

A large amount of people are working this, some you may have heard of, some maybe not.

This runs all on Source SDK 2013 Base Multiplayer, and servers are hostable using this.

We have to give this a try sometime.
