The current Karma system is a bit absurd, a lot of player's don't purposely try to murder other players, they take a chance trying to kill the Traitor, until they are attacked, they have no real way of knowing.

There is a real way of knowing.
DNA Scan, Witness to random murder (meaning most likely a traitor), and even attempting to hide bodies or acting suspicious.

Obviously sometimes they are innocents but if you watch somebody really closely and witness something then you have the right to kill them on sight.

if you want to be super secure about banning people you should check if anyone could see someone when they killed someone or if they shot before, then you could determine whether to ban someone or not.

What equipment system.
They are different items which work within the mod.

Also the karma system works exactly how it says it works.
You rdm a lot or kill a lot of your own team accidentally or purposely then you can get banned.
